Care
Care
Realign jeans are made from raw, unwashed and untreated denim. With wear, the fabric becomes uniquely yours: the indigo fades naturally and a personal patina develops. Good care preserves the character of your jeans and helps them last for years.
Follow the guide below to wear, soak, wash and repair your denim. There is no single right or wrong way to wash your jeans; these instructions are intended as guidance.

Wear
The best way to create beautiful, personal fades is simply to wear your jeans. Try to postpone the first wash for as long as possible—ideally six to twelve months. This gives the denim time to shape itself to your body and allows high-contrast fading to develop.
Between wears, hang your jeans in a well-ventilated place. Airing them regularly helps remove moisture and odour without washing away indigo.

Soak
When your jeans need refreshing but not a full wash, give them a gentle soak:
- Button the jeans and turn them inside out.
- Fill a bath or basin with lukewarm water and a small amount of mild detergent.
- Submerge them for 20–30 minutes without rubbing or scrubbing.
- Rinse carefully with clean lukewarm water.
- Hang the jeans to air dry naturally.
Raw denim may lose some indigo during soaking. Keep it away from light-coloured surfaces and fabrics.

Wash
When a complete wash is necessary, keep it gentle:
- Button your jeans and turn them inside out.
- Machine wash at 40°C with a small amount of mild detergent. Disable tumble-dry or intensive spin functions.
- Reshape while damp and hang outside to air dry. Never use a tumble dryer.
Wash denim separately or with similar dark colours, as indigo may transfer.

Repair
Wear marks are part of the story, but repairing damage early prevents it from growing. The crotch, knees and back pockets are the areas that most often need attention.
For the best result, use a specialist denim repair service. Darning reinforces worn fabric while preserving the original character and fades of your jeans.
